07. Paint and Stitch Creative Workshop with Carolyn James 17th September 2024

Stock Status: In Stock

A “Play Day” with thread

A relaxed and easy workshop using fabric paints and free-motion “scribble stitch” to create a simple picture of abstract flowers … you don’t need to know how to draw or even how to stitch in a straight line!  This workshop is a fun introduction to using free motion stitching on either a longarm or domestic machine. It requires no prior experience of these techniques if you use domestic machine.  This is a great follow-on to our Foundation Workshop. Carolyn will demonstrate step by step how to add layers of colour to represent flower shapes and then stitch the outlines, stems and leaves.  All materials are provided.

Enjoy the freedom and creativity of paint and stitch, learn to play with thread including metallics, build your free motion quilting skills. It's so much fun! Hang your work on the wall - the workshop pack includes mount & backing board.

Choose either longarm (standup or stationary) or your own domestic machine. Longarm machine users should be a Handi Quilter owner and have either attended our Foundation Workshop or be confident in using their longarm.
